Lakha Mandal Temple,Dehradun

Lakha Mandal Temple is situated at the center of the Lakha Mandal village in Dehradun District. It is dedicated to Shakti and Lord Shiva. Lakha Mandal is a prime attraction for both a common man and a pilgrim alike .

Lakha Mandal is directly connected with Dehradun by road. It is 75 km from Mussoorie and 125 km from Dehradun on Yamunotri road.



The nearest railway station and airport are at Dehradun.


Historical Significance :

It is believed that by performing prayers at this temple, one can achieve rescue from his sins. During excavation of this place, ‘shivalingams’ of various hues were found, dating different periods of history.

This was the reason the name of the temple is " lakha mandal" means Mandal that are lakhs in numbers. Also found were silver and copper coins again dating different period of history.

Every year on the auspicious occasion of ‘Baishakhi’ falling on 15th of April, a fair is held with great religious fervor and gaiety, attended by hundreds of devotees of the nearby area.
