It is about 3 Kms from Doiwala and 22 Kms from Dehradun, on the Hardwar/Rishikesh road, a popular picnic spot situated on the banks of river Song.

It was estblished by:The Department of Forest, State Government, in 1985. Local bus facilities are available which makes it easier to reach the spot.

The biggest advantage of Lachhiwala is that it is economical and as such can be enjoyed by people from every walk of life. This place offers economical boating opportunities. A boat ride here costs only Rs. 5. Crowded during the tourist season, this place has a lovely picnic garden as well.
